A couple more pictures. The body hinges at the front to expose the power train, something most people won't get to see !
Last week the fuel filler necks were being fabricated, two filler caps will be accessed in the redundant engine bay. A more convenient & safer solution than the previous arrangement in the load space, next to the hot engine.
Fantastic to see it coming together.

A great public debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed. Bill Ford loved the van and his ride on the hill climb.

Now safely back in Essex, complete with autographed dashboard.

Ford has replace the Super Van with the Super Truck. It set a new course record at the Festival of Speed with 43.23 seconds. Previously it set a new record at Pike's Peak.

The pickup truck has three electric motors producing a combined 1600 HP.

All of them were at the Festival of Speed.
The Super Truck & five Transits.

The newly rebuilt Supervan 1, privately owned. The others are Ford owned and operated.
The dressed up Mk2 Transit 'Supervan 2 lookalike'. (Well slightly lookalike..).
Supervan 3 , which was built out of the real Supervan 2.
Plus the pair of electric ones. Supervan 4 and Supervan 4.2

Certainly is and a cool story of how one of the original build team found it in a very sorry state but could identify it from were he had modified some bodywork etc. I now have the chance to build my own not sure how fast it will be though
