Top Gear - Clarkson drives the new GT

Don't be so quick to say the GT will get dusted by the S7. Car & Driver has the GT smoking the 911 GT3 and the Ferrari Challenge. The GT's performance numbers put it the the range of the S7 and the Enzo. In fact C&D says the S7 is almost as fast as the GT with the GT being topped by the $659,000 Enzo

Let me get my hands on that modular V-8 and strip out some of that cushy stuff and it might be chasing the McLaren F1.

I too think Clarkson needs a ride in a C5R. Guess winning LeMans twice doesn't qualify the Vette as a car that car go around corners.

Yes I made the comments before the latest test was done. I am quite impressed at the performance of the Ford GT. I think the test cars presented were making a bit more then 500 HP. More like 500 HP at the wheels or above to be able to get a 128 mph trap speed in the quarter. That being said I still think the S7 would out run (not dust) the current GT on the track. It does however cost a heck of a lot more.
