Is this the one that was owned by the Tornado "dealer" in the US back in 1999-2000? When I was looking for GT40s to purchase I considered Tornado and Andy Sheldon told me about a sort of dealer he had that had one to show and sell. I could never get the guy to give me the time of day (not Andy's or his cars' fault) and thus had to write Tornado off due to the antics of the fellow. Doesn't mean anything about the car, just curious if this was the car I was "supposed" to look at way back when.

I think that's the one Ron. I was at the "dealer" maybe 6 years ago and think that I sat in that very car, have a bunch of pics too. Left hand shift and wheels look familiar. I really liked the car, but could not get into sync with the guy for a bunch of reasons.

Ron,

Sounds like my car. A gentlemen in Connecticut by the name of Robert Lourencelle built, I think, three TS40's as a 'distributor' for Tornado starting sometime in the mid 90's. Mine was first registered in 1996 and was acquired by a friend of mine, if I'm not mistaken, on an e-bay auction in 2000. Supposedly Robert used my car as a personal\demonstrator car for the other two. It was, in fact, registered in his wifes name. Evidently the 'distributor' idea didn't pan out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

BTW, it was repainted when my friend owned it. From what I gather it was either blue or a somewhat green\blue color when purchased from Robert.
