Vehicle Storage - car bag?

I don't have enough garage space for all my toys. Yea, it's a first-world problem. I store my Cobra in a rental unit that is not climate-controlled. I would like to have a little more protection than just the four walls.

Has anyone ever used a 'dry bag' to seal your car from the environment? Looking through Google, I see units from a cheap plastic bag for $40 to a zippered triple-layer bag for $1100 and some in between. Looking for any experience with these.

I want to control the humidity the vehicle is exposed to. Without humidity control, I saw some oxidation on my aluminum pieces the last time I did this. In just the storage unit and Saint Louis climate, we can see 50-degree temperature swings with the sun heating the unit and humidity as high as 90+%. Temperature-controlled storage is not readily available in our area—it's a half-hour drive to access that type of storage.

Any suggestions or links to products you've used or recommend? If you've used one and had bad experiences, I'd like to know that also.

Can you get a small dehumidifier in your storage unit? Damprid also works pretty good. I have a car in storage with a standard car cover with a dehumidifier, never have had an issue and it gets pretty humid in Georgia.
No electricity in unit

I have a good friend that keeps a pickup truck in one of those inflatable bubbles - outside and it has worked well for a couple years now - although he reports it to be a huge chore to get the truck out/in for weekend drives…. He doesn’t report any humidity issues though..

On another note - after having had one of my cars totally inundated with mold one year, I found these rechargeable desiccant cans and I put one in each car. No more issues…

The only storage solution available to me at this time is a commercial storage facility. Wish I could find a climate-controlled garage but that doesn't seem to be in the cards.

In commercial storage facilities, the larger drive-up units, large enough to contain a vehicle are not climate-controlled. When built, they are not air-tight - not even close. The corrugated metals reach the ground but are not sealed. All under-roof joints are not sealed. They only strive to be waterproof - and even that isn't assured. The ceilings are typically corrugated steel with no insulation and they condense moisture as part of the heating-cooling cycle they see each day. The only way to eliminate humidity and air infiltration is trying to seal all joints and insulate the roof. While not practical, it's probably against the lease also. So much for any form of moisture control one might normally use in their home or shop. So I am left with some form of impermeable bag inside the unit that the vehicle is placed in.

I've been recommended CarBag.com by a friend. But I can't imagine this is the only solution. Am I the only one that has run into this issue?

So my search continues.

Car cover for a C8 corvette fits nicely on a GT40. They make some very good C8 custom car covers that do a lot to protect the car from the elements.

Concrete floor is a lot better than dirt/natural with the humidity, but depending on how the concrete was laid down (vapor barrier? crushed rock? slab thickness, etc.) there likely still will be some moisture vapor coming up from under the car...unless you live in Arizona or Nevada....
