Water getting in via rear clip air intakes

Hi,

Unusually for a British summer, we had some heavy rain yesterday Water was running down the clip through the air intake and collecting under the glass. I assume this is a feature of GT40's so what is the best resolution, just a couple of small drain holes or somethibpg else?

Hi Nick,
Yes. I have a row of small holes to let the water out as you can’t stop it getting in. Just make sure that the water can’t get into the engine or anything vital!

I believe originals had a hole in the left rear corner to allow water to drip into the engine bay. Left side as most European tracks run clockwise and drops of water thrown outwards with cornering.
