OK Guys,
I appreciate all of the "you should do it this ways," BUT the situation will not allow ANY of your suggestions that include two rows of belts as I already have three and one is non-negotable (the oil pump).
So ... I'm back to the Explorer pump and front cover, or the Ford hotrot short pump. The rotation of the hot rod pump (M-8501-E351) is normal (that is, CW). It would not requiring cracking the already sealed engine and that is a strong imperative for trying it.
If that pump has a "snout" that would allow using a "cup" shaped pulley ... I can just get it to line up with the exiting plane of the alternator and A/C compressor.
Questions:
1) Does M-8501-E351 have a small snout that would allow the use of a "cup" shaped pulley? and
2) Anyone have a favorite place to buy these things that has good discounts?
Thanks,
