B Bill D Oct 7, 2006 #1 Webers Carbs - IDA vs IDF What is the difference between the two? Thanks Bill Last edited: Oct 7, 2006
C chuck smith Oct 7, 2006 #2 Bill, the IDA's are geared towards the more performance, higher compression motors (cobras, shelbys gt40's ect..), the IDF's are for the more docile motors( 289,mild 302"s ) and are apparently a little easier to tune.

B Bill D Oct 7, 2006 #3 My engine is a 331 with 10.2 compression and a high lift, short duration cam. Would I be better off with the IDA's of the IDF's? Thanks Bill D Last edited: Oct 7, 2006

C chuck smith Oct 7, 2006 #4 Bill, I would think the IDA's would be the ticket for that motor. I really think the IDF's were made for stock motors, street rods ect..
