I have a "Dash of Class" from Classic Instruments. These guys were the only ones who could provide: 3" 200mph speedo, 3" 8K tach, fuel gauge, fuel pressure gauge (100psi electric), H20 Temp, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure and Volt meter that all looked alike. The company has since changed hands and moved from the west coast to the midwest and I am not sure what changes in their offerings have taken place.

There is one minor difference in one of the gauges. Most people will never see it. You guys will probably see it right off the bat.

I'm curious as to which Autometer gauges the majority of respondents are using? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Bill,

I am pretty sure they use the Autometer Cobras aka Smith look-alikes thats lots of people use in their Cobras as well.

Since you are getting the RF, you really should get the special Smiths that Robert can supply. I believe they have a 300 km/h speedo!

Smiths are available here in the U.K

I've got mine with rounded chrome bezels for SVA. Then they go back and have black original bezels replaced to complete the job.

Try www.gower-oaks.co.uk, they are the f*****g dogs!

They'll even make you a 220MPH speedo if you want. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have Smiths and they supply a 200mph speedo plus are correct, they look fantastic. Not 3" though, I think it is the next size up. I like yours though Lynn, worlds ahead of the Autometer standards, although I know that Autometer has some that look more correct.

I am using Smiths "Cobra". Mostly mechanical gauges with the exception of the electronic custom 200MPH speedo and rev counter. The mechancial gauges look the part with a full sweep calibrated dial.
Caerbont Instruments will also supply a Lucas ammeter.

The Autometers replicate the look of Smiths. The whole set, including two fuel gauges runs about US$500 and are available through select retailers. The water and oil temp/oil pressure/speedometer are mechanical. The speedo is reverse rotation and is supplied with an adapter.
