What is this hole for in my TrickFlow head

Just wondering what this hole is for as my gasket covers it.

Thanks

That’s an exhaust heat crossover port that is meant to duct heat under the plenum of a carburetor intake manifold to aid in the preheating of fuel/air mixture. The resulting vapors burn more evenly and provide better drivability.
Most competition intake manifolds have this port blocked or not machined at all.

Thanks Randy I was hoping someone would confirm it was not needed, especially as I am doing everything to cool things in that area down :)
