Wheel bearing grease

Any petroleum engineers out there? SPF has rather unique wheel bearings with tapered roller bearings and nylos seals. Since nylos seals are not an absolute seal is a marine grease better? Polyurea base grease? Factors involved are high temp for disc brakes, water resistance, and viscosity.

Most bearing systems that I have worked on with Nylos rings also have a V ring installed to act albeit marginally as a seal. As for grease, I would not go to a marine grease. I would use either Mobilith SHC 100 or SHC 200. These are a synthetic style of grease and will handle high temperatures as well as high loads and speeds. Moisture has little effect on this grease. Castrol LMX is another grease I use a lot of for all sorts of bearings. Make sure you grease the face of the Nylos ring to bearing, this will help with the sealing as it will act like a labyrinth.

NILOS rings correctly specified and installed are in themselves a seal.
They were developed for high temp applications for industrial use.
Any reputable brand hi temp grease or a moly based grease will suffice, make sure you fill the hub with grease, not just pack the bearings.
