Frank's folly

Glen,
I had built a Locost roller from McSorley's +2 drawings narrowed back down to the "Book" dimensions, with a Zetec/adapter/T-5 gearbox. Made a nosecone mold, then sold it that way (offer I couldn't refuse). Great fun building almost everything!

Had a real Super Seven long ago, as well as a Westfield Series II. Wish that I still had either one. I do still have a copy of the original Lotus Seven chassis drawings.

Wow , its almost been a year since I posted any progress on this thing .
Truth is I haven't done much as I've had other vehicles to work on this year , my tow vehicle , a '02 Chevy crew cab , needed suspension work and tires . Rebuilt an engine in a friends Toyota p/u and got it road worthy again ( 2nd time ) . Fixed -up another Chevy p/u for him to use as a tow vehicle . Repaired his brothers Jeep from a minor collision , and its now back because of a deer . As well as various of my neighbors vehicles .
Then most of the rest of my free time has been involved in my '68 Olds Cutlass to which I also did suspension work , disc brake up grade , and a few other things .
But I did manage to do a little work on the Fiero , and I'll post up a few pics soon .

I got the inner fenders in place and built some hinges , and even got the front clip to latch

being A.D.D. as I am , I jumped to the rear
the tail lights bother me . there meant to be these large plain tractor trailer monsters . but I like the Corvair lights better , but the opening needs to be smaller so I had been searching for a while for something to use to make new plugs for the openings . I found that a pvc pipe coupling would work , so after a little shaping I'm ready to place them .

Then I finally got a rear window , thanks Mark IV , so another jump to another area to work on closing up the rear of the cabin .
I first made a pattern of the rear opening , then of the window shape .
a little bending on the brake , and some shrinking , some square tubing , and its under way ...
