silver flag 2010 !!

Being between a churm of friends ( u all) loving NICE cars and (maybe) also Italy, our wines,our food and our country...I just would like to remind u the upcoming 2010 "Vernasca silver flag", an historical race starting in a too nice place in northern part of our Appennino mountains, named Castell'arquato (Piacenza).

The places they pass are really impressive, nearly all medieval towns, and doing this in early june, nearly surely there will be also stunning warm weather.
...and the cars are imho nicer than Mille miglia ones.. even if the race is shorter.

Now that's a good excuse to jump on a plane. Not that you need one to visit Italy, one of my favourite places in the world.

You will love that places Pete, it is the real "bella italia" wherever u go there are great places to eat great food also, even if u choose super luxury places, or just small farmer house....until u discover they are in the golden book of the greatest restaurants, but at an affordable price.
Wines are already worldwide famous....just we all have to pray for great summer weather, cause right now is ugly (and they say it will be such way till end of may )
It is cool you also dont need to plan anything, just reach the area from a low cost airport and hire a car (from bergamo is 1 hour by car, and if u avoid the highway the trip is already very nice,crossing hills and rivers, no big city, no Milano..)

That part of italy (from Emilia to Lazio, all the middle part) is simply too nice.

think at such scenaries crossed by Gt40s, 917...dino 206...330 p3..:thumbsup: while u drink a glass of fresh italian wine in a warm sunset....
