MSD Distributor gear choice

I have an MSD 8579 to go in my new 347 build.
I never realised there was such a choice of gear to go on the shaft….steel, iron, bronze or “composite” depending on the material the cam is made of.
I’ve been in touch with Comp Cams (the makers of my cam) and they recommend a “melonised ” Iron gear.
Can anybody recommend somewhere I can buy one in the UK? I’ve looked at buying from the US, but the $50 postage (that’s without the import charges!) puts me off

I got mine from Gooze, excellent service and reasonably price and fast shipping.

Enjoy fitting it, it’s a bugger of a job. Make sure you have a bottle of MAP and a freezer to hand…

Much better service and price from Gooze IMO.
Wel as I Dutch guy, I know both, and I have been to both (shop & mail order).
From my experiance Real Steel has better service and knowledge. I have been there several times in Uxbridge and had several mail orders also.
Gooze is allright if you need it fast and live on the continent. If you live in the UK you'd better not buy it on the continent by import duty's.
Gooze has not the best prices.

Fair enough but my experience is the opposite, realsteel always seem to be awaiting stock from the states, not been to either so from a mail order point of view the location is irrelevant or at least it was pre-brexit, that of course may have changed things.
