F O R D nose badging..

So I'm researching the idea of the individaul logo F O R D on the nose of early Mk 1. Read a bunch, well actually, seen it in pics in coffee table books. My Mk1 is an earlyish replica. Leaving out the half a dozen ideas I've been given about the manufacturer at this point. It was a race car, best I can tell since day 1. Won't be for me, I'll race something else. So I am keeping the beast in my car, but like the idea of more 'road' car details and features. Any ideas, sources for the letters I need. Bad idea? I did source from comment on this site a very nice period correct reproduction FORD badge. But the letters on the front intrique me. Thank you all. BW

I read on one of the GT40 Facebook group sites that they made negative molds from a set of original letters with the intention of having new sets cast.

Some negative molds were for sale on eBay some time ago from a GT40 restorer, probably the same molds on the FB site.

Has anyone discovered what other Ford models the nose letters were used on? It would shock me if Ford endeavored to design them specifically for the GT…
