Flatchat (Chris) I would get either the G50 or a ZF, but I'm keen to get it going for now. I will however go this way in the near future. I currently have a 944 trans axle that I'm pulling apart to see if the housing will fit. It appears identical on the outside. Bernie

Hi all, I am still looking for an Audi 5 speed trans axle. The 3U is the current damaged unit I have. I am after the centre cast section - gear carrier casing. Any 5 speed from 1983 - 1987 is suitable 5000 models. Any contact or links would be good. Bernie

Pete T Yes I agree as my understanding they are good to assist with mid range horsepower. I have just 445 HP at the flywheel and this was on the dyno at 4100rpm from memory. So guess if the plate can handle about 350 - 400 HP this should suffice. I would not be looking at dropping a clutch at...

Still require the Audi AU 016 trans axle. Will buy a complete trans axle if one about. Any leads? They are in 1983 - 1987 Audi 5000 cars. Not the quattro.
