I need a Gurney Bubble and

We may have a bubble for you. This weekend we are installing seat and measuring for my son - preliminary was that he fit without. If he does fit without you can have - it is just the bubble. PS I will be in OKC in next couple of weeks (just got back from quick trip to Ada) and can even deliver.

    How I selected a GT40 - Long

After reading a few of the recent threads I wanted to share how we made our decision. I am a mechanical engineer with a reasonable automotive background. As such I must first state I do did not see any engineering from any manufacturer that would disqualify any product. Mostly it is somebody...

    New option from Roaring Forties

Our RF came with the panels installed - they are beautiful. The cutouts are all there and everything sealed. The riverts form a perfect line and are evenly spaced. I believe having the panels fit has made the build process much more enjoyable and you get to start right into the assembly of...

    How Hard is it?

Meat, I am in the process of building my car - and yes there have been missing items and need for support, BUT I call, ask for help and get it. As to missing parts - they are air mailed and I recieve them within a few days. Yes I would have been happier if they were not missing but stuff...

    How Hard is it?

While I was initially disapointed that the construction manual was not availble, the respons from Robert and Gordon to my questions made up for not having the manual. By asking questions and recieving answers from both of these gentlemen helped define what I wanted and what was provided better...

    How Hard is it?

My son and I are in the middle of building a RF. One essintial is a good international long distance service - a quick phone call to Robert and/or his staff can answer any question. They also can walk you through the corretions to fix problems. The second is good quality tools for the proper...

    Sizing

My son is 6'-3" and this weekend we just fitted the seat and pedel box for him in our RF. He fit very comfortably with the lowered floor - did not need to add Gurney bubble which we had ordered just in case.

    Progress on our RF40

I too had the problem with the flairing tool. I thought it was good quality (Eastwood and was US made) but the yoke broke on first flair - it was sent back today. The other issue is the bending tool. Any help on what tools ( and where you can buy) would be a help. Actually we may be in area...

    Progress on our RF40

Just to let everyone know how we (my son and myself) are progressing, but no pictures, my son has yet to set up the web site for pictures - I am computer DUMB. We have the suspension complete, and the steering is about 80%. Brakes are done except tubing - seriously considering using SS braided...

Anyone deal with or know anything about "Cherner Classics" in the US?

They are about a mile from our house. I bought a Ferrari from them and was pleased with the service. They have a selection of owned and consignment cars. Asking prices are generally high, but they do negotiate. My son saw the GT40 but it is was not there today. They are owned by a local L-M...

    Best KIT for the buck.

I just recieved my RF40 and am very impressed with the quality of the components and the packaging. Everything is present, literally the last nut and bolt. The varrious sub-assemblies are seperated which allows for ease of construction. As a mechanical engineer and Father - this is a Father...
