    Trying to obfuscate into GT111?

See an interesting listing has popped up on eBay. A GT40 Roadster that the description tries to associate with GT/109 and GT/111 or the other GT/111A. Only 2.5 mil https://www.ebay.com/itm/297910875465

    How many ?

Howard. This has been going on for years and years on the forum for GT 11, all the way back to 2002 when the forum was just starting. Look here. https://www.gt40s.com/search/1609275/?q=GT+111&o=relevance Regards Brian

    GT40 serial numbers

I've been looking for information on the GT/1011, not the 111 or the P/1011. The street car's registration documents list the GT/1011. I've been searching for information on this for some time now, but there's not much, and what I do have is unconfirmed. It was probably a street version built...

The search function is there for a reason. If you can't put the effort in to research, you probably won't finish your project. https://www.gt40s.com/search/1611489/?q=gt+111&o=relevance

before the eBay listing disappears, here is the item description provided by the seller, SoCal Classic Cars: --- 1965 FORD GT40 ROADSTER PROTOTYPE Offered here is an exceptionally rare Ford GT40 Roadster. This is a unique opportunity to own a significant piece of Ford racing history. This car...

    GT40 roadster

    By my knowledge, 5 roadsters GT/108 GT/109 GT/110 GT/111 & GT/112. All look different. Nostril is odd for a GT40 also.

    GT40 roadster

Agreed from everything I've read 5 cars were built, when you say nostril what do you mean? The body on this car should match GT 109 from when Dean Jeffries owned it before the second restoration when mecum bought it. Here is 109 at laguna seca around 2003

    1965 GT40 Originals

Are you just interested in the 1965 Ford GT Roadsters because that's all the chassis number you have quoted? All were the pre-production numbers GT/108, GT/109 and GT/111 all despatched in March 1965. GT/108 Never raced test car GT/109 Raced at 1965 Le Mans Number 15 Dean Jefferies car GT/111...

    Chassis identification

GT/111 a pre-production chassis was the early 1965 Ford GT Roadster. I believe the car was found in a lockup in Stratford when the Olympic games came to London! Ronnies book says it was cut up and scrapped after appearing in the 1965 Le Mans trials and crashing at the Targa Florio. Regards allan

    Road Tax...

Hi John, Hi It has all changed since the 1st of April and is now dependent on C02 emissions and list price of the car, i.e. if the list price of your car is more than £40k you pay £310 a year extra for 5 years. This of course is no good for us as we do not have an emissions category for the...

    Le Mans Classic 2014

Almost certainly the Silva car with Rui & Pedro at the wheel. It ended up provisional 7th in Plateau 4, approx 12 minutes behind the winning Hugenholz car.

    GT40 Chassis 111

Very kind of you to share! I hate to rain on your parade, but the car you drove is not GT/111. Either you misremember the story behind the car you drove, or else somebody was trying to pawn off a fake. The whereabouts of GT/111 were unknown for many years, so it wouldn't surprise me if some...

    Gt40/111

Epoca: Ford GT/111 - Automobilismo It is said that the cars found in barns after decades of neglect now there are no more. But this is not so. Witness the story of a Ford GT40 roadster version (which were set up only five specimens) and for 40 years it was believed lost, in the belief that she...
