First Real Photo of Ferrari P 4/5

Jim, I happened to be in a bookstore yesterday and picked up the new issue of Car and Driver. Nice article, absolutely stunning car. The "artist's rendition" in Autoweek or whereever it was a while back doesn't begin to do the finished product justice. I'll bet there are a lot of Enzo owners...

So Jim, when are you going to post some pics of the 612 P4/5? http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060327/FREE/60320024&SearchID=73241360548401

    RCR-P AND P4

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who's had the "lottery" fantasy. Let's see...Lola T70 in Penske/Sunoco livery, GT40 in Gulf livery, 917 in Martini green/purple "hippy" livery, P4 in Ecurie National Belge (i.e., yellow) livery, MkIV in bronze as driven at Le Mans by, I think, Roger...

    THE visit to RCR!!!!!!

Congrats! There are few things more exciting than preparing to go pick up a new car, especially something as exciting as a GT40. Looking forward to the pictures (make sure you snap a few of all the mystery cars in Fran's shop )

My prize for the correct guess is the first one out of the mold, correct? Good call, Fran. Anyone who ever heard a Mazda-powered Kudzu is not likely to forget the cacophony in their lifetimes.

    Really Cool GT40 Video

Sounds to me like a pretty high-compression small block, with Webers, through an unrestricted true bundle-of-snakes exhaust. It's amazing how much different an engine like that sounds compared to a low-compression engine with a single four-barrel carb, mufflers, and non-crossover exhaust.

    RCR70

Fran, Given the direction this thread is taking, I'm afraid to ask...treat myself to what? Actually, I have this pleasant daydream where I win the lottery/inherit a small fortune/discover gold in my backyard and fill my garage with: one of your T70s in Sunoco livery; one of your 917s in...

Fran, Does the lettering on the deck of the T70 say "Lola RCR," or am I imagining it? Nice touch, if so-- Bob

    Estimating RWHP from FWPH?

Thanks for the kind words, John. I just picked it up last week, and it's nice to have it back in the garage. The fact that the tank is full of racing gas doesn't hurt--I started it a couple of times over the weekend just to enjoy the aroma of "race track perfume." Rob at KCM told me that a...

    Estimating RWHP from FWPH?

John Ross, the dyno you're referencing wouldn't happen to be the one at KCM in Dallas, would it? I ask because I just got the dyno results from KCM for the SBC in my Lister yesterday. I take them with a LARGE grain of salt because I had the engine dynoed almost three years ago, on a completely...
