Queen were booked to perform at our weekly school Saturday night ( gig, i guess ).
But 'Seven Seas of Rhye' went into the charts.
At the last minute, they pulled out.
Guess they had last minute Top Of The Pops , etc.
We had to 'put up with' 10 CC.
What a bummer.

One of the things that helped make the Beatles popular was that they kept all of the small gigs that had been booked when they got the first chart record. Most bands would have bailed on those commitments.
