A fundraiser !

Well folks,
I'm really happy this forum is back on line. I don't know all the details of why but I do know that it takes money to keep this place going. I for one intend on sending Ron a sizable donation in order to insure this place stays put. I have so many subscription to magazines that they pile up on me before I can read them all. So I figure this is three times better than any subscription I have and one more sure won't hurt.
I hope the rest of you GT40 crazies follow suit and send in what ever you can to help out. I will ask Ron to post an address here so that we can send our checks to get the ball rolling.

I'm in! The information I've gathered from this site is what has helped me decide to import a kit from NZ.

Without the information (& contacts) from this site, I would have just given up on ever building a 40.

I've been wasting my money on kit car mag subscriptions for years & have never really learned anything from any of them.

Although, my "play" account just took a big hit, (I just sent a deposit on a NZ GT40 yesterday),,,,,,
I too, will be happy to send a check to help this site stay around.

Just let me know where & I'll send what I can.

Hersh, I agree with you whole heartedly. Further more, I'd like to nominate you as the Forum Treasurer. Since you are a former policeman, who would be better to handle the cash?? I think you would be perfect!

Ron had a good point in wanting someone else to handle the finances. This way no one will think that Ron is trying to make a profit off of the forum. I though about doing it, but since Ron and I are somewhat co-located, sooner or later, someone would think that there was some collusion going on. Being in the south west, this should not be a problem for you. I am not much of a money guy either: if it wasn't for my wife doing the books, we'd be in deep do-do for sure.

For us non-US guys, is there a "PayPal" account that we can send donations to. I seem to recall that Ron had one & it worked fine last time. John Stone also had one which I used to pay for his CD.
