A young'un from West Aussie

Hello everyone! Arguably I am much too young for this sort of thing (don't know the average age of people the build GT40s, but I assume its not 24) although if I don't start now, I might end up with a wife that says 'NO!' everytime I suggest it later on in life and that JUST WON'T DO!! So my heart is set on building one of these incredible cars now.

Being young has its obstacles... like not having a heap of spare cash, but I'm saving my pennies left, right and centre to make sure this happens. The way things are planned out at this stage, I'll be ordering parts from RF on my birthday next year and building it over the space of 3-5yrs.

Its a long road but it sure will be worth it!

Stanley, welcome mate. It's nice to read of a "youngster" who has an eye on a goal and will see it to fruition. You'll find everything you need on this forum and some things you don't but will be offered anyway. We're a helpful lot for sure. As they say in these parts GIT R' DUN!!

Thanks Lance, I'm in Joondalup (~20 km north of Perth).

Gus, thanks for the encouragement. I hope to meet a few of them to suss out what's involved and required and how much external input I'll be needing. Mostly just to see the cars for real and be inspired by their progress =)
