Anyone know this car?

Did you notice that it is RHD, TJ? That is more period correct, as most if not all of the racing originals were RHD, but it can make passing that SUV or semi on those twisting, back country roads in AR quite the harrowing experience.

Doug you have a point with passing but I wish now I would have gone with RHD, after being in Mikes car I found its so small on the inside you really can't tell much difference. I also restored a 47 Bentley that was right hand drive and it didn't bother me a bit driving on that side but then again I wasn't passing anyone!

I did notice that. I actually find myself really liking the original RHD/RHS layout.

However, having never driven a RHD car, I am hesitant. I tried to think of all the ways it might be a drawback. Drive-thrus/toll-booths had come to mind. I hadnt considered passing... that would be scary as hell.

I still think RHD/RHS is awesome, if only for the novelty. I also think the shifter in the middle of a GT40 looks a bit "off" as though it wasnt originally meant to be there (maybe because it wasnt )

I'm curious...whats the serial # on this car? Is it a pre 100 CAV car? If yes, TJ you'll need to inquire about the uprights both front and rear.

I dont know the serial #. It doesnt appear to be listed on the ad.

I called the dealership, but had to leave a message. What were the problems with pre-100 CAV cars?
