The latest technicall fiasco is the trans case and bellhousing -It has a JW Hughes Powerglide with their special case and bellhousing both with SFI Tags and both way over -engineered. Made out of heat treated alum and the case has a steel liner. SFI needs new stickers on both of these items every 3 years. Do dust mites get on these things and weaken them?
What phenomenom causes the need for inspection and new srickers every 3 years?? To get them re-certed, I must send JW the bare case and bellhousing with the flexplate so they can wave their magic wand on everything and re-cert them.
Same goes with the blower retraints, seat belts and parachute and fire suit eventually! I gotta spend a cool $1000 on shipping!
Ok, I'm done whinining.
Oh yeah; the chassis needs to be re-certified every 3 years too. Should have built a Lola instead of all this certifiable craziness!
Have a happy day off for some of you.
