Anyone up to speed with CRC in the UK?

Hi

Looking for a laymans terms info pack on CRC to ensure we stay the right side of the legislation

CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme - Department of Energy and Climate Change


I started reading the pack and fell asleep! Presumably not for small / medium companies but I'm not sure so any info appreciated

Hi Ian,

Only businesses consuming more than 6 GWh/yr of electricity through half-hourly, (i.e.+100kVa supplies) need worry about the CRC Scheme.

Edited to indicate that 6 GWh's per year would equate (very roughly) to a spend of around £500,000 at an average current market price per kWh exc. transportation & metering costs etc.

That's good - we're not spending anything like this but keep getting e mailed from rumour mongers saying we need to register and they can do it for £££££
