cav jacking points

Reading the users manual it says to use the motor mount crossmember to jack the rear of the car.....ok so i look at this crossmember and ask myself where on the crossmember should i put the jack. in the center or to the side. on the driver side of that crossmember is a big notched section that i would think would weaken it. dont want to put the jack there do i?What is the purpose of the notch halfway through the creossmember and how much does it weaken (or strengthen )the cross member for jacking?Need help on this one. thanks

I have always jacked on the four corners at the holes where the shipping container attaches (inboard front suspension pivot, and rear on the sides where cross member attaches to chassis).

But usually for the rear I just stick the jack in the center under the cross members beneath the belhousing. No problem there and you get the back up uniformly.
