Cockpit floor

As some of you may have read, I'm pulling my GTD apart to replace the gassfibre panels with ali sheeting. The cockpit has the fiberglass tub installed that I am going to remove. Now, do I need to fit aluminium floor panels or will the galvanised floor already fitted to the bottom of the chassis be sufficient?

I would suggest a second skin of aluminium to replace the glass fibre tub. Needs bonding in as well to prevent drumming.
