Correct torque for Vintage Wheels centrelocks

Tom,
I have one question. From the pic of the tool, in the first post on your link, the back of the tool has a square drive which is I assume is for a 3/4" drive socket wrench or torque wrench. On my front wheels which are standard 10" rims from RCR, the threads on the hub(RCR also) stick out 1 1/2" beyond the base of the spinner. The rears are flush with the spinner. The image you posted doesn't appear to slide over the hub far enough for the ears to be engaged. Am I just looking at it wrong??

Fran popped in to remind me that I had 8" wheels on the fronts(Doohh), and the hubs were Vintage Wheels parts. Didn't want to cast any wrong thoughts out there.

Hi Bill

This is how it looks on an RCR.

The adaptor sticks out over the wheel by 1" and the tool fits perfect.

This is about the maximum it can take. In your case the thread sticks out pretty far. In order to be able to use the tool you need to shorten your adaptor by at least 0.5"

The drive socket is a 1". there are adaptors to a 3/4" available.

Tim Dutton is using this tool, may be he can share his experiences.
