If you're looking for a pair for a GT40, search DRB or search DRB customer pictures. They made sets of them and offered for sale, I have a pair if your interested. Quite a bit different than the picture above but that idea.

This picture I found doing a DRB search

These are pretty simple mirrors. Looked all over, can't find anything like it, the mirror mount of the shaft on top of the mirror is unique.

Thanks, I'll keep those in mind.

on that blue gt40 isn't that very scary when someone walk against it? it brakes or function like a lever/handle? or how you say that...
looks a bit like the ones on the Ultima GTR, but those are a bit in the cars widenes so a bit safe for walkers so to speak.

Exactly GTRene, that's why I removed them. Even removing a car cover was a concern because the mirrors hook the material very easily. In addition they transmitted alot of vibration of the car to the mirror.

I know a good number of Ultima owners who have removed the std door mount mirrors in favor of a fender mount, especially anyone who tracks their car as you need to physically turn your head to look up and see out of them taking your eyes off where you want to go!

but they look great and you have a clear view over the road/track...

when you use those fender mount types it can block certain spots were you go/look...

so I think for both there is something to say.

a week a go I did a short test drive in a Artega GT and that factory had to gave them bigger mirrors then they first had on their concept car due to regulations? anyway I drove such car with those mirrors and first they seem ok even they were big they were nice designed...but then I had to take a short turn when driving slowly at a cramped place and that big mirror (drivers side and that way I went) blocked the way I wanted to look/stear at...it was then complete for a moment in my face were I wanted to view.
the "old" ones on that car on the ready for production car were easyer to look over.

Spy photo. this would be a great way to see over the race tail. Door mounted with the race tail gives you about a 1" gap to view thru at the stock tail height.

Cam, the SL-C race mirrors were made up from aircraft strut tubing and the stock mirrors. I think you did something similar with your stock mirrors. How do they work out for you?

I chopped off the stalks and added some larger posts. It keeps them stout but the position on the door is not optimal. I think the above pix showing the high mirror would be best if you have the race tail. My tail is in the stock position and it gives me a bit of a small slit to look thru. The rear view camera helps but i wish i got higher resolution. The street tail would probably give better vis to the back, but not sure. I'd love to see Frans mirror as an option....

Hello,
I am taking delivery on a SL-C later this year and as I understand it it will be with the new door mounted mirrors. I think it will be a standard deal on the SLC.

Do you know what is being used as a fender mount mirror?
