It's a curious car for sure, could be the start of a build project. Call it an "alphabet car" parts of KVA GTD CAV DRB DAX and Roaring Forties in the mix. Would be a mystery solved and heck of a story told to reveal how this kit came to be...
There will be major glasswork involved in truing the body, it's wonkey in many places. Certainly was not fitted to the chassis to keep things lined up. NASA ducts and filler cap openings missing from front clip, incomplete upper air inlets and below the window details in the rear clip etc.
The roof spider is really peculiar as the "C" pillar appears twice as wide as normal. Maybe a long wheelbase version? DAX had a GT40 replica that was taller in the beltline by a 1 to 1.5 inches, however the pictures don't show clearly enough if the overall height and wheelbase have been stretched.
Anyone going into this car should have his eyes wide open. Given what glasswork and paint cost theses days, a large junk of the budget would go to those items. Still, the potential is there and the new replica owner can draw on the massive knowledge base in the GT40s Forum.
Cheers
