Good evening. I wanted to pop along to share my passed on memories of fel1c.
My father owned the car at some point in the late 60's early 70's.
He purchased it damaged and sourced another front end, from a rear end damaged race car. It was then rebuilt and painted in lotus yellow, this was simply because he had some left over from a previous job!
The original engine was also removed and replaced with one, from what he recalls to have come from a sunbeam tiger. The original engine was buried in his mother's rockery in Windsor!
I traced the car through an auction a number of years ago and passed on my to story to the company that bought it. They did reply to the effect that it couldn't have been the same car, but my father remembered the number plate like it was yesterday.
He's now sadly gone, but the story has stayed with me.
