Here is my completed radio.
I built a component radio with separate amps to the speakers using the Retrosound radio equipment. I created my own radio face with a lot of cutting and modifications to one of the Retrosoubd unit faces. The McIntosh that was in the original 2005 Ford GT was completely old school. I was trying to capture the old school look with more amps per channel and microphone bluetooth remote control capabilities.. it does sound crazy good and fully useful even with the engine at full tilt on the road with all the hands off features wireless etc.

A couple more things to do but closing in on completion. I am adding lifting jacks with a custom design and an air compressor onboard. Nuke Performance will participate to provide the lifting air jacks they designed to operate effectively in the 120psi compressed air range, their 90C which works with just about any small compressor design. The key factor is air storage capacity. My design includes 1 gallon tanks which are very small and fit anywhere in the dead space in front of the wheels behind the wheel well shields.
The design consists of system installation redundancy and the spacial considerations focusing on equal line length one way remote controlled valving to help make the lift efficient and effective.
The 3rd annual Ford GT gathering in Tustin CA hosted by William Laporte will be taking place on July 11, 2026.
I will be there with along with several other GT-R’s and a host of Ford GT’s and GT-40’s. It will be great gathering that focuses on the Ford GT, GT-R and GT-40.
