Hi everyone

Just a note that Frank had if e mail hacked

He is supposedly in Turkey needing funds urgently

It is all a scam and I just spoke to him on his home phone

All well just a frustrating day trying to recover everything

Hi guys, yes it was a very frustrating day. Following a similar mail from one of our friends on Saturday evening, who was supposed to be in hospital in Mexico City and needing urgent funds to pay his bills, I found I had been similarly hacked and all of my contacts on my address book had been asked for money to help me in Turkey! The hackers had deleted my address book, and somehow managed to also divert all future in coming mail directly to the delete box, leaving me fairly blind for a while , it took all day Tuesday to get back to normal, but still less my contacts listing. I am however amazed and very humbled by the fact that at least 75% of my those people on that listing took the time and trouble to immediately contact me by whatever method they could to ensure my wellbeing and safety, that shows a great warmth in this community for each other, thanks so much . WARNING - if you get anything on line you are not quite sure of, don't open it, I get caught somehow and I can only think it was somehow due to the earlier posting on Saturday. Frank

The same thing happened to David Morton once. A very distressing email saying that he was marooned in the Queens Head Little Marlow without funds for the next round. Naturally, we all sent money as I recall...

It was only then we realised that he lives next door..

Were we right to be suspicious? To this day, I am undecided.
