Friends from uk..help me about one of your cars

I discover now a beauty..think is a jag xj coupè.
I dunno anything about this car (just wikipedia) but for decades this 4 lights jag was my favorite car ever. I've never seen in italy a 2 door one.

I see now the "Big Cat" green one..and I definitely fall in love:

yeeeees Brian!! that is the car I am searching for. Where can I get more infos about it?..wanna know all.

Dalton,u right. That car is too nice, never seen a wide body street one.Dunno if that was a sort of fiberglass preparation done in the 70's ( but have to learn more..)Seems a prehistoric bmw m3.

I also remeber an incredible picture form the past of a car crash, where one of these coupè was flying into air in a ball of fire. For years I try to identify the car, the others racings ones seems from British tourism cars (or australian, or NZ ones).Maybe a sort of v8 supercar of the past?maybe Bathurust cars from the 70s?...there is soo few online about it.The only I found are from a modelling site:

The Bathhurst clip is of V12 XJS model, whereas the Broadspeed pic earlier in the thread is of a quite rare 2 door XJ 12 saloon car - a different model entirely but with the same motor.

Tom Walkinshaw took the to European Touring Car Championship with the XJS - a remarkable feat considering the sheer size and weight of the thing - he was some driver and of course went on to own HRT for a while until his global TWR empire went bust, but I believe he is back in Supercars again now in some capacity.

A most remarkable man and a hard nut of the old school.

This XJ coupe was available as a series two car, either V12 and 4.2l str6 engines. All the V12 were autos (BW 65 then GM400) some 4.2l had manual boxes. There was also a Daimler badged version (Double six coupe) which is quite rare (c 340 made). I once saw a pre-production coupe which had series 1 bodywork. Broadspeed built 3 race cars : there must be many more copies about now.
