fuel fill pipes/hoses

Hi, just down in the cellar looking at my new gt 40 and planning out the fuel fill pipes , i have seen some fabbed out of metal and i was wondering if anyone had used or considered the s/steel flexable rad. hose kits that are sold. Seems like a very easy way to connect the fill pipe to the tank but maybe im missing something like not safe for gas ? anyone have any thoughts on this thanks Bob
