I just finished mounting my fuel tanks and as an afterthought was wondering how some of the other members on the forum were mounting theirs.
My goals were to have a permanent, simple mount with no failures as I don't particularly relish going in after the fact if there is a problem.
Here are some photos of the pass side tank before mounting and the strap assembly made to secure the tank. I will post some photos of the tank mounted when I get them off my temperamental camera.
The two brackets on top of the tank fit into frame members on the valance and simply limit fore and aft movement, the straps are 18 ga stainless folded and hemmed with 14 ga L brackets at both ends, lining is neoprene strip and the tank fits like a glove.
Cheers
Phil
