Gas Sniffer...

Hello? Has anyone used a gas sniffer like this to detect small fuel leaks? I have a hard to pin-point source of gas vapors in my recent RCR GT40 build. I think it has something to do with the fuel inlet tube to one of the gas tanks. I used a shop vac to pressurize the tanks and used my nose and the soapy water/bubbles test with no detectable leakage. It advertises that it works for fuel vapors, but, you know...Thanks!

Have used one for work when tracking natural gas or other combustible leaks. Not that brand but very similar form factor and purpose. If it's comparable, it should be able to help you pin point a source.

They are quite simple to use.

Thanks Chris…There are quite a few of these entry level sniffers from different manufacturers for around $35. I’m hoping to get someone to chime in with their experience using one on fuel vapors and not natural gas. Anyone had success with it?

Also consider that some fuel lines/hoses will give off a fuel smell as they are not really formulated for modern fuel blends.
