Having problems when down changing from 3rd to 2nd keeps trying to select

Having problems when down changing from 3rd to 2nd keeps trying to select
Reverse box is a Renault with LSD fitted problem gets worse when hot

Fit a reverse gear lckout.
Mine is a piece of aluminium on a hinge that swivels away to allow reverse to be selected but when in place means even when slapping the gear stick over to the left means it hits the aluminium and hence stirs it moving enough to engage reverse.
