What would be the immediate reaction to this in the USA?

Be objective please... :)

In Oklahoma there would be some chuckles at worst and the guy being stopped and asked where he got the sack so they could shop there as well. I do not see any reaction beyone that.

PS: I would be one of those asking where to get me a sack.

Cool. I suspect it would be the same here. This bag is German and there are loads of different types not just guns. I believe the Japanese may have started it some years ago. Very clever...

Personally, I think there are dangers of this kind of thing in a generally unarmed society but perhaps not so much in the Wild West which is why the question

I'll post a few more when discussion (not diatribe!) is done.

Any areas/cities in the USA where this might quick start a sense of humour failure on the part of the Authorities do you think? (Cops, D/A's, Feds?) or even citizens etc? (I fully realise that there is at least seven different and identifiable 'national' flavours within the US so I am expecting some diverse reactions.)

But please please do not travel down the "Guns don't kill people - people kill people" Dogma Highway it's plumb wore out.

McGraph? There's nothing to see here...

We've been there, we've done it, ad infinitum ad nauseum..
.:)

Keith,

New York, Detroit and multiple other cities with strong gun control policies would certainly get a reaction from any passing LEO who just caught a quick glance.

Contrary to popular belief - OPEN carry of a hand gun is not appreciated on any street

This is funny in my opinion and would love to have one myself.

but, it WOULD get you stopped by a passing LEO and probably at his gun point if he did not first recognize the bag was there too.

Hell, that's so well done, with the limited IQ of society in general, a LEO might assume the guy/girl was just too stupid to put the gun IN the bag in the first place (prior to his/her planned robbery)!!!

Good answer. I reckon parts of the world are so jumpy and trigger happy (and I include SO19 in the UK - sorry chaps) that bag could end up getting you hurt...

Remote perhaps but the possibility is there. Which begs the question

Do you want to die for some marketing ploy?

Everywhere you look today, there are movie and TV programming images promoting programmes and there is ALWAYS a gun.

You guys may not think of it that way, but I and many of us do over here - it's just overkill.

I have always been struck with the irony of the wringing of hands over the killings of our young and yet...this is amusing?

I'm not saying it isn't - I think it's clever - but what image is it sending the younger X Box generation.

Guns guns guns....

They would never use knives in this way and they are killing lots of young 'uns in Europe.

Guns have a mystique a folklore - and you lot started it! :)

It's a discussion folks is all, and part of my overall education. Nothing else going on here...

I do agree, as well as most OWG's here, that there is entirely too much violence on the telly, video games, adverts, etc. They are changing the morality and desensitizing the "new generation".

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy....

Oh come on, admit it. A black dude walks down a white suburban mall with that bag and all the white Wyatt Earp CCW holders get boners and think this is THEIR opportunity to show off their mad shootin' skillz. Come on now!
