Ever wondered what your car will do, or how it will perform? Well now you can practicly do it yourself. In the July issue of Kit Car Magazine www.kitcarmag.com is an aarticle on "The Stalker" ATS system. It's similar to the system that law enforcement uses, with the ability to download data to a personal computer.
It will give 0-30 mph, 0-60mph, quartermile times, eighth mile times, 60-0 braking distances. They then with the "Raceair Pro" correct to "Standard Day" correction. 60 degree F, 0%humidity, and 29.92 inches of mercury. All stored algorithms. They then talk about the wireless "Brower Timing System" for slalom and skid pad functions. They have in the article the requirements for a slolom course(420ft.with 6 turns, 70 ft. apart) and a 200 ft. diameter skid pad. They will be measuring cars in their mag and using the data for comparison. Some of the clubs could purchase the system and find out how their individual members cars actually perform(compare). Kind of interesting.
