Why do so many cars on the other side of the pond run 18" tires? Not a good look IMHO

Great pics. Why do so many cars run 18" tires over there? Kind of spoils the looks of the car I think.

I am not sure many run 18 inch rims.
17 inch was popular for a while as it gave good options on tyres. That was before Avon came to the market.

Oh and the brake options for a 17 inch rim is a lot better too!

My memory said slightly after my car got to the road (July 2006) so I checked back and found this

So yes cars built around the early 1990's could use a BF Goodrich or had to go for a bigger rim

Malcolm did loads of work with Avon and they came up with the goods in mid 2006
