GT40 shell on a 914-6, 3.3l Twin-Turbo Race Car

I would appreciate help locating a reasonable GT40 shell for my 914-6 race car. The shells I have, original AIR-Bond, and two after market shells are not to my liking after 24 years of racing and working on the car. The car was built in 1978 by John Bond, R&T, C&D Editor/Owner, and has had three detailed, extensive updates for racing in POC, NASA, and SCCA. I realize the project will require major modifications to the car and the shell. The top of the cage is 40" and the wheelbase is within an inch. I think the intercooler and wheel width of 72" can stay with only race flares on the shell's wheel arches. I'm retired and can spend the required time.

Another significant constraint is the location of the firewall and how well that may match up. I don't know the 914/6 platform at all but the rear wheels may be too close to the firewell/seat back to be reasonably accurate- making the front wheels too far forward if the wheelbase is ~the same.

I have looked for shop drawings and under shell volume and the suppliers are not a good source for information. Seems there should be an easy reference source for “autocadd” software based comparisons.

I know a guy who could eyeball a few quick measurements with a tape measure if it'd help...
