GT40\'s still alive

To those GT historians, I was curious in what numbers are there still road worthy original GT40's still out there:

Cars with race history
Cars sold as road cars (no particular history)
Cars in museums

Wasn't the total produced somewhere between 180 - 200 from 1964 thru 1969?

Most of them are still around.

If I recall correctly, there are just a very few that were destroyed or are unaccounted for. There are a couple that have split in two, so there are two cars claiming to be that chassis number.

The books by Ronnie Spain and Trevor Legate each have individual chassis records, and are good references for questions like this.
