Heavy rain today

Anyone else get water in their garage? Not too bad but about a quarter of the garage floor has water on it. Had to use the pumps though to prevent water getting into the house, and I thought I lived on a hill! Roof leaking like a sieve, a tree blew over in the night, plus our sewerage drains have flooded. Oh whoopee!

But I did get to Lincoln for my race seat fitting so not a bad day really!

Went upto Rockingham circuit - it was spitting a bit when I left SW London, got a bit worse on the M1 and all hell let loose as I joined the A roads by Northampton.
Interesting day and a few laps of the oval and I thought I'd drive back in the sunshine as it had brightened up. The M25 was a bit clogged up so did a shortcut around heathrow and discovered lots of flooded roads - very heavy rain by the looks of it - I managed to get a bow-wave on my 40, then saw steam and thought the rad had burst, then my feet started getting wet !
Rad was ok just the water that was on the outside from being submerged. Fortunately I made it home and then started removing the soggy carpets e.t.c from my car ! Still doesn't look like much rain landed in my garden though and it could do with a bit given the recent sunshine and the hose-pipe ban.
Now how about a periscope on my 40 - hmmm.

On my way home from Lincoln I drove through some floods around Virginia Waters. I thought about what it would be like in a 40 but decided it was way to deep. I think you were lucky Paul! It was torrential from 3 pm till 8 pm at our house, never seen rain like it!
