Lol. Good lord people. Some of you have been here a long time. Clearly you know the difference between an online auction and a positing. An online auction essentially will force a sale depending on reserve price, why? Because you’re given a time limit. I can list here and the car may sit for months on end, could the same thing happen on BAT? Yes it could, however, it sort of pushes a buyer that may be on the edge into making a quicker decision. This was never a question of can I afford to list, it was more of a what is going to get me the greatest exposure, best price, and most painless sale.
There’s two things new to me. 1. I didn’t know BaT had a lead time? I guess I need to contact them, cause I’m struggling to understand why a site that hosts online auctions would have delays. 2. I guess I was sort of aware they didn’t hold escrow, but I do think they help negotiate payment terms and routes etc.
The truth is I don’t want or need to sell the car. But I have a Coupe 65 on the way and it sure would be nice to free up the space. This has been a daily internal debate. That being said, I will more than likely list here first at my price point that reflects my aversion to sell. If someone wants it, great, if not, no big deal.
