How do i cut my door windows

The windows where not cut out on my doors. After reading -Kurt's Hoffmanns blog( pg 14) some of the "slc Gods" had a conversation about sunlight, shade and integrity (strength) of the cuts. Some early slc' showed a "full " window cut out from rcr. (I like that big window space age futuristic look) and some have the eagle eye look (or fighter pilot look) which adds strength. Some people like different cuts so maybe thats why mine came with the door windows uncut! (Just to note! I havent heard of any issues about strength/ integrity with full cut windows!). So I guess ..It comes down your liking!! I looked at Dean lampe'- "slc picture thread" and this is what I did... I used tape to get the angles and shape I wanted after looking a hundred different ways ..I just took a whole bunch of pics and deleted the look I didn't like...just the wrong angle can throw everything off....

Once i got the shape l wanted Then I used wide tape and lined the window. And marked my cuts. I did a rough cutout and and will sand it down to the layout line
These are the the measurements of my cuts...just a reference.

And the other door is done. The edges are 1 1/2 inches and they get a slight bit wider as they go into the angles. It has a nice look . I made my cuts with curved corners to help alleviate stress compared to a straight corner cut

I had to carefully sand to get the edges perfect using a long block. Pics of doors ..inside of doors and the tools I used..with a jigsaw..

I'm just waiting on my drive gear to come in ( back order)..then I can drop my engine in. Until then ill go around it , keep going and do other things. ... Rule #1. work on it everyday. The only reason ill be finished before you is because I want my slc to go street.. when i follow your blog with all that engeneering machnery and think-erie it looks like your gonna have your slc ready to fly into outter space !!! and that takes just a little bit more time I suppose. !! If tried be like you id accidently cut my car in 1/2!!! Im trying to stick to he basics but its easy to loose focus (as I do ) when I read yours other blogs who enhance the slc potential.
