This may have been covered before but does anyone have a clue how many replica GT40s have been built over the years by the various manufacturers? (excluding Saffir) maybe each current manufacturer ie RF ,ERA ,CAV, Tornado etc
could give their numbers and does anyone have numbers for GTD ,KVA ,Sabre etc.

About 450 GTD have been built/supplied according to the latest info I have heard about.

I know this is a rhetorical question...
but I guess I'm still curious.

How many of the 1,000 and 1,000 and 1,000
of Cobra replica owners would buy a GT40
if the price was only slightly
more than a comparably detailed Cobra?

What will it take to SUBSTANTIALLY increase GT40 ownership in the US? This Forum is a
vital part of that....but it's not enough
in itself. Ford is giving the GT40 image a shot in the arm...however their target
audience is not the one I travel in.

Will "demonstration races" help?
Is it just a matter of time?
Will it take a "breakthrough" change
in manufacturing/marketing by someone?
Or is the nature of the beast going to prevent regional meets of 20-30 cars from becoming a reality?
