I think Teddy had it right.

Amen Pete.

I get really tired of my tax dollars going to pay for translators for the rendering of social services to illegal immigrants who don't speak English, and who haven't paid one penny in tax themselves. I mean, who first suggested we need to have tax payers pay for translators in order to better render social services to people who are here illegally in the first place, and who haven't made any tax contribution themselves?? How about they go back to their own country, engage in some kind of productive undertaking for a number of years, pay their own taxes, and THEN maybe, just maybe, they're entitled to some level of social services hand out if it's deserved...

Yeah too true Cliff..... back in the UK there is a push to get people to quit smoking. This is through the NHS.
It emerged that there were a number of individuals, who needed a rather pricey translator to help them quit, all paid for but the British tax payer

Frankly it comes down to this......... If you want to live in another country you make the effort...... if you don't want to make the effort, stay where you are!!

I too would agree that Teddy had it right. Here in the UK we have large numbers if immigrants who haven't integrated at all and some of whom actually wish the indigenous population harm. It makes one wonder why they come here in the first place - it can't be for the weather!

I would mention that I have friends who are immigrants from many parts of the world, including muslim countries, who have become completely integrated with the rest of us and are making a valuable contribution to our society.

Pete:
Once again you have hit the nail on the head. No disrespect for your country but you would make a great American, I wish more here thought like you.
Unless you are an American Indian, in America you or your ancestors are from somewhere. We are a nation of immigrants.
Unfortunately some of us here have lost our way, and embraced some type of diversity putting that ahead of being Americans.
Aristotle said: "Diversity is the last virtue of a dying society",
He had it right also, and I can only hope that more of us here wake up to whats actually happening and bring back some sanity.

Cheers
Phil
