I hope this is the correct way to do so. I have been interested in the way this type of automobile is set up, since I was a young child. I'm 50 now. Just the placement of everything seems to make sense to me. I've held on to an 86 fiero gt for years in hope of modification eventually. I think it could be a place to start, or I might just scrap it? The hieght of the motor bothers me. I am going to start with transaxle/motor, and work out from there. Iv'e heard about audi, porche transaxles. But I'm really not sure what I'd like. I prefer a 4 speed, so any guidence I would surely appreciate. The 80's audis are harder to find, and I don't know if the newer ones will work with an 8 cyl. This is exciting stuff you folks are doing, I've held back for family reasons, it's now my time to build my dream from the sketch's I've made over the years. Really like daytona prototype rolex series. My car would be similar, possible open, fendered front end. I will have to start reading what people have been doing and learn more to make it happen. I don't want to spend an insane amount of money on this, but I want it solid and dependable. and Hi everyone.
