Any of you guys got/had hands on experience with the Jawa Speedway motors.. this a 250cc 4 valve 'laydown' motor.
Story so far, last couple of meets they have had problems with valve lash adjuster nuts backing off & finally last nite it sounds like it has dropped or stuck a valve. I was asked for my thoughts a week ago & wondered if the valve springs might have lost tension etc but after I talked with the owner last night I have come to the conclusion that the exh valves might be sticking in guides, partly due to the valves still being fitted with stem seals, lubrication being less than optimum due to the laydown configuration & therefore the exh guide being 'downhill' @ the spring end & in regard to oil being able to reach guide after passing stem seal.
The kid riding this thing is good & on the throttle most if not all the way round so the motor does not get much relief during a race.
Im not getting involved, but the guy doing it seems to be reluctant to use the LTP & wont deviate from what Mr Jawa says.
