Thanks Ryan,
Back in the day I got those vents of mine in Australia from a guy who won several marque shows with his Zephyrs. He did not want to part with them !.
If I couldn't get them and I am less particular now, I would use a similar designed vent from the 2002 Ford Focus - a whole lot cheaper and readily available.

JimmyMac,
I was searching the web for those vents, I think they are Ford Fiesta.....

Jimmy, i think i know the restoration/other project you talk of. Regardless of if i have it right or wrong, Its obviously going to be fantastic to see when it eventually gets unveiled given the level of detail that has gone into it!
I was considering trying to make it across the waters to see it, but given the current COVID-19 situation i am not sure that will be achievable.

I would love to be able to get more updates on its progresion, I will have to wait though, like everyone else.
:)

keep well.

Cheers Ryan,
Well I managed to get some black cording which looks correct so I will stitch this sample up whilst listening to Worker's Playtime.

This is fascinating stuff James.
i love seeing this. dont get to see many if any of these cars down under. only one i have seen #111 the Glescoe roadster that was at Philip island historic festival the other year.

Nice, I would be happy with that. What compression ratio did you end up with. Are you able to disclose the cam specs and fuel type?

GT/109 is on the block at Mecum and for some reason the write ups on the sale specifically mentioned the original Trico wiper in the restoration.
Here is one of ours.
I have sourced the replacement blades so there is no problem replicating the whole shebang.

Hello Jimmy,

I too came across a rather large quantity of the dimpled blade rubbers, some time ago. I had the white nylon mounting components injection moulded, stainless rods machined and assembled around 6 so far. All gone to original chassis restorations.
Can i help ?

No thanks Andrew, presently we are happy with what we have.
I am thinking of doing these later in bar stock alloy as the grey plastic ones crack and don't last long.
